Concept || We need to have something to say
We need to have something to say. It seems that one of the virtues of great artists, in their own contexts, is strong intentions that shape visual and narrative elements.
The elements are thought out, altered and refined considering these intentions, which can be simple or complex. The interesting thing is that when we see these intentions being presented in a person’s vision, which in itself already brings a certain novelty, we arouse a momentary interest. When these intentions are also well constructed from a good visual domain, there is greater interest, we like to see good images.
Intentions have an appeal because we want to say them, even if it is something common (love, anger, beauty), the means of communicating this brings individuality. Be it how you think about the composition, narrative, shapes, colors, values, form, aesthetics, priorities and negligence. When these intentions go beyond the common and demand more creative and narrative demands, the result will be something very personal, which is difficult to repeat. Bringing this novelty through the visual/narrative organization of the final result is very unique.
We see a massive amount of images today, however, the ones that bring us in a more memorable state are those that have an element or/and a set of elements that attract our attention, there is something, things and explanations there that we cannot forget. I believe one of the parts is this intention factor.
